In life, you sometimes meet truly amazing and inspiring people—those rare souls who lift you up simply with their presence and positivity.
About two years ago, I met one of those people at a Writers' Retreat. Among a group full of talent and warmth, Tina Davenport and I formed a connection that went deeper than just a shared love of writing—we had both been moved to write through the pain of losing someone special.
Tina lost her husband, and while that kind of heartbreak could have been all-consuming, she chose a different path. She poured her grief into creative expression—writing, painting, and even songwriting. Her strength and spirit are inspiring, and her creativity is a testament to the healing power of art.
Recently, she shared some exciting news with me—she was approached by fellow singer-songwriter Mike Allan to feature one of her songs, Seasonal Knowings, on his upcoming EP Back on Elie Bay. Tina said yes, and the song is now part of a truly beautiful project.
Mike is singing Tina's melody and many other beautiful songs in aid of Alzheimer's Research.
